Sometimes when a bodylift is fitted to a Vitara / X90 or Grand Vitara, not often luckily, the steering shaft between the back of the steering column and the steering box, becomes too short.

To remedy this I came up with these steering spacers. These are made from EN24 high tensile steel - by comparison a high tensile steel bolt is EN8, so you get an idea of their strength - no comprises on your steering, and your safety. Other sellers sell a bolt and sleeve solution, but when I investigated these with my CNC machining supplier, he noticed the original bolt was a tolerance fit into the T-bar section you can see on the picture below... i.e. the original bolt is not just stuck through the hole, they are pressed in as the fit is so tight. Hence why, together, we designed these spacers this way, with two threaded ends. So to fit them, you knock the original bolt back part way through the T-bar section of the steering shaft, and then cut the heads off and then knock the shafts of the bolts back through... you'll notice by the design of the shaft they are impossible to knock back through completely as they will foul on the rest of the shaft before they'll come out...

So, in the closeup below, the shorter threaded ends have been poked through the T-bar section, and then the Nyloc nuts are put on the ends of the threads and are used to forceably pull the steering spacers into and through that T-bar section -

Beautifully machined - (note that the production ones are chemically blackened to prevent corrosion - these bare steel ones are the prototypes)

Then the rest of the shaft can be assembled over the other ends of the spacers -

And then tightened up fully and reinstalled -

The picture above shows them installed in a Grand Vitara with a 3" bodylift...

You can see in the picture above how tight the shaft was, this is the spline section AFTER the spacers were installed?!
